Elizabeth Pena dies at 55



The actress who has many various roles through her shifting between dramatic roles and comedic parts in TV shows has died .

Elizabeth Pena had participated in many movies like Lone Star and TV shows like Modern Family , was died at 55.
The Cuban-American actress died in Los Angeles on Tuesday of natural causes after a brief illness as Pen’s manager Gina Rugolo declared . and there is no other details provided.
Elizabeth was born in New Jersey , her parents were immigrant parents, her career spanned four decades including roles in many movies like La Bamba, Jacob’s Ladder, Down and Out in Baverly Hills , and Rush Hour. Elizabeth took the role as a history teacher who rekindles a romance with an old fame, in filmmaker John Sayles Lone Star , played by Chris Cooper.
She appeared in Modern Family as the mother of Sofia Vergara, Gloria, and also in other TV shows as dream On , L.A. Law, and Resurrection Blvd.
She also starred as a housekeeper from El Salvador who weds her employer in order to avoid deportation in the 1980s sitcom I Married Dora.
She also participated to provide her voice in the Justice League , The Incredibles , and American Dad.
Her latest appearance was on the El Rey Network drama Metador.
