Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio (born November 11, 1974 -), American actor. His father was from Italian ancestry, and prominent leaders in the hippie groups that it raised the surface of American society the mid-sixties of the twentieth century, and his mother, a German who chose the name of Leonardo after he kicked her to see a panel of Italian artist Leonardo da Vinci. And shortly after her pregnancy was her divorce from her husband and Leonardo lived with his mother.

DiCaprio Was a colleague of the American actor Tobey Maguire, star of Spiderman film series at the secondary level.

His Acting career:

It was the first cinematic post for him in 1991 in the third part of a series of films Critters and after he presented  several films , including great Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet , and in 1997 Leonardo gave one of his best roles at all in the famous romantic film Titanic , he began his first collaboration with American film director Martin Scorsese in 2002 film Gangs of New York , and in 2004 came back to work with Scorsese in the film ( the pilot ) who personified by the character Howard Hughes has earned him an award Golden Globe , for best Male Performance at the Department of drama Films, nominate by it for an Oscar , too, and in 2006 he participated in the film ( Departures ) with Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon . In the same year he was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor for his role in a major film Blood Urgent.

In 2008, DiCaprio participated with Russell Crowe in starring role in the film Body of Lies directed by Ridley Scott, as he starred in the movie Revolutionary Road with Kate Winslet, he was seen in 2010's fourth collaboration with his director Martin Scorsese film Shutter Island, and in the same year, he starred in the movie Inception, directed by Christopher Nolan, the film has achieved great success in the global box office.

DiCaprio participated in the filming of The Great Gatsby and the adaptation of the novel of the same name in the film was released May 10, 2013.
