Chael Sonnen becomes well known for his ground game and this
happened after his victory over Mauricio Rua and proves to his fans how quickly
he can finish his fight there.
Sonnen forced the
former UFC light heavyweight champion to tap of Round 1 at the 4:47 mark, by locking
up a guillotine choke late in the opening frame.
Saturday’s UFC Fight Night 26 event was headlined by The
light heavyweight bout at Boston’s TD Garden. The game aired as part of the new
cable channel’s first day on air on FOX Sports 1 .
Sonnen did not waste
time diving for the takedown and planting Shogun on the mat during the opening second
of the bout and this what make his trademark style display early through his
fight. Though Sonnen he was quickly scrambling to his feet and getting a
takedown of his own to even things up.
So after the game finished he dedicated his win to his
grandmother , who is fighting the cancer , and then praised his performance
through an impromptu poem and in the last called out Brazilian rival Wanderlei
Silva.
Sonnen offered Silva a fight during the three month’ time
when he interrupted by Rogan . by the way this is the first victory for Sonnen
since January 2012.
